Privacy policy · App version 1.0
Your project library stays with you.
Clearfolio stores your project records and imported documents in its local app storage on your iPhone or iPad. It does not send that content to a Clearfolio server.
No account. No advertising. No tracking or analytics SDK. No AI processing or automatic upload.
You choose when and where to export a PDF, share a file or save a backup.
Information you put in the app
Your library can contain project and client names, asset descriptions, source references, licensee details, usage notes, review dates, version history and files you choose to import. Clearfolio uses this information on your device to organize evidence, compare versions and generate exports.
Importing a document copies it into the app's storage. Changes to the original outside Clearfolio do not automatically update that copy.
Collection and access
The app does not operate a developer account or server that receives your library. It has no advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites. The developer cannot retrieve your local library or recover it from a Clearfolio cloud account.
The app lets you select individual files through the system document picker. It does not require access to your contacts, location, microphone or an entire photo library.
Backups and sharing
Depending on your device settings, Apple device backups may include Clearfolio's app data. Clearfolio does not provide automatic cloud synchronization between devices.
A PDF passport contains the project and asset information you recorded, including document references and review details. The passport preview also lets you opt in to sharing the available original evidence files alongside the PDF; that option is off by default. A .clearfolio backup includes library records and copies of attached documents. Exported files are not password-protected by Clearfolio.
When you choose a destination in the system share sheet or file picker, that destination can receive the selected file. A cloud storage provider or another app then handles it under its own settings and privacy practices. Check the destination and contents before sharing confidential client information.
Retention and deletion
The local library remains in the app until you remove it. Removing a project record does not erase imported document copies: the library retains those files because other records may refer to them. Retained documents can also be included in library backups. To remove all local Clearfolio data, delete the app from your device.
Previously exported documents, files shared with other people and copies in device or third-party backups are separate. Remove or manage those copies with the relevant recipient, storage service or device backup settings. Offloading the app can retain its data.
Apple services and this policy's scope
Apple handles App Store downloads, purchases and device-level services under its own privacy terms and your settings. This policy describes Clearfolio's app behavior. Websites, storage providers and apps you separately choose to use can have different practices.
Help
The support guide explains file imports, exports, backup and deletion. If you choose to send diagnostic information to support, first remove confidential client details and documents that are not needed to explain the issue.
Publisher and privacy contact
Clearfolio is published by Joachim Huveneers. You can send privacy questions or a request about information you have voluntarily shared by email to joachim_huveneers@hotmail.com.
If you email support, the recipient and email providers process your address, message and any attachments so the request can be handled. This is separate from the local app library. Only send information you want to share.
